November 9, 2021-Nutracap Holdings, LLC of Norcross, Georgia, voluntarily recalled various dietary supplements because the label did not state wheat, milk, soy, and/or coconut. People who are allergic to or severely allergic to soy, milk, wheat or coconut are at risk of severe or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume products containing soy, milk, wheat or coconut.
On November 4, 2021, during an FDA inspection, the company was informed that its label failed to disclose the presence of allergens in some of its products.
The recalled products were shipped to distributors and retailers in Alabama, California, Florida and Texas between June 4, 2020 and October 1, 2021.
To date, no diseases have been reported.
The batch number and expiry date can be found at the bottom of each container.
Retailers and distributors who receive any of these products should check their inventory, immediately stop sales and notify the customers who purchased these products to recall. Nutracap will provide corrective label stickers for the remaining stock products. Affected consumers who have purchased these products should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund, otherwise they may discard the products.
